If you're a Quinn listener, you've got a spicy lil' treat waiting for you over on Shane East's profile, written by yours truly!!
It's called Warm You Up and, as usual, Shane held nothing whatsoever back from this incredibly brain-melty performance. The voice on this fella. YOWZAS! This comment really said it all:
[comment from a Quinn listener on "Warm You Up" by Shane East]
The concept is two old friends are out on a hike, but they get soaked (snicker) in an unexpected downpour. After taking shelter in an old mountaintop fire lookout tower, they uh... find a way to warm up that just might ruin the friendship (in the best way) 🥵!
This was such a unique one to write for me. If you've been around a while, you may remember I wrote a Quinn script for Shane last year (Read to Me) that was an adaptation of the chapter in Jesse's Girl where Jesse reads a book to Ada that takes an unexpected spicy turn.
Writing a standalone script was a unique challenge compared to adapting an existing piece of writing into an audio script. With Jesse and Ada, I already knew the characters, their dynamic, their history, their voices... but with this one, I had to invent all of that from scratch and try to capture those vibes in the space of a 30-minute snapshot. Not an easy task!
I know it might seem like writing audio erotica scripts is all fun and boning, but it's really a lot to balance, and it's unique in terms of the format to capture a two-way dialogue when you only hear one side of it. You have to manage pacing, flow, logistics, plausibility, natural dialogue, backstory (without infodumping or "as you know, Bob"-ing), sound effects cues, tone cues, the age-old "where are their hands!?" conundrum, responses that make it clear what was said without hearing it, how many times the word fuck is acceptable... spoiler alert:
[Lindsay Lohan Mean Girls gif: the limit does not exist.]
... and sooo much more.
I'm not gonna lie: this script was a tough one! But my hard work paid off because the end product is one (in Shane's words) banger of an audio! Also: in his Instagram post on Thursday, Shane pledged to donate his fee for this audio to the people of Minnesota, so please know listening is in support of an important cause.
So have a listen, if you haven't already. I promise it'll keep you warm. 🥵️ Bonus gold stars if you drop a comment, or save it as a favorite on the Quinn app because those stats really help the audio's visibility! ⭐
And if you haven't subscribed to Quinn yet, this might be your sign that it's time...

Blurb:
One, two, three—it’s all down to me.
As the youngest and only single Lancaster, I’m eager to spend my summer in Seaside, Oregon, with my sisters. It’s something I’ve looked forward to all year, and I’m determined to make every minute count. After all, I’ve only got one year before I graduate from college and have to adult for real.
However, if I want to graduate debt free, I need to work. I have a lead on the perfect summer job with the nanny agency I’ve spent the last three summers catering to.
I just have to win over an adorable three-year-old and convince her single dad I’m the right one for the job.
Simple enough, right?
Except when I show up at his door, I’m shocked to find he’s the guy I hooked up with a few times last semester.
This cannot be happening.
I need this job. There’s too much on the line to walk away. Maybe we can put the past behind us and make some sort of summer arrangement?

She was Mozart. He was Metallica. She was silk and soft lace. He was granite and sharp edges. She was light. He was darkness. She was his salvation. He was her forever... Meeting him was accidental, loving him was inevitable. One minute Brax was riding down the highway, the next minute was chaos. He was down, and he knew instantly it was bad. But then a pair of chocolate brown eyes was looking into his own, pulling him back to reality. How could he have guessed that laying his motorcycle down in the middle of the highway would change his life?
Savanna hadn't planned on witnessing a horrendous accident. She hadn't planned to stop and help. And there was no way she could have planned what happened next. All she wanted to do was snuggle under a blanket with a glass of wine and the newest RomCom on Netflix.
But when fate intervened in Savanna’s otherwise bland life, who was she to ignore it.

RITCR! I'm in love! My lovely Lovelies, I'm freshly home from a whirlwind trip to Banff, Alberta for Romance Invades the Canadian Rockies 2026! It was such an incredible experience, and I can't say enough gushy good things about how the two rock stars running Slow Burn Books (sisters Shannon and Nicola) planned and executed this event. It was seamless and fabulous. Do you know how much work goes into running an event that size with no hiccups!? THEY FUCKING SMASHED IT. [Photos from RITCR...
F*ck Me Sideways! It's a cover reveal? My beautiful Lennox Lovelies, You may remember that I was involved in a charity anthology that came out back in November (two days after Sweet Caroline because I plan my life real good-like 🥴). Well, as of tomorrow, Mistletoe Moments will have spent its six months out in the world and will no longer be available through retailers. We've raised a good chunk of money for Food Banks Canada and I couldn't be prouder of our little (well, not so little) group...
Miles & Caroline character art!!! My gorgeous Lennox Lovelies, What do parenting and authoring have in common? It's the LIES. Stick with me here. 😆 When I had babies and then very young kids, I was always told it would get easier. At the next milestone, the next age, when this growth spurt ended or that tooth finally came in. Heck, even when the weather changed. "It gets easier," more seasoned parents would tell me. Aaaand it was horseshit. Look, it's true that the relentless, soul-crushing...
