I'm freshly home from a whirlwind trip to Banff, Alberta for Romance Invades the Canadian Rockies 2026! It was such an incredible experience, and I can't say enough gushy good things about how the two rock stars running Slow Burn Books (sisters Shannon and Nicola) planned and executed this event. It was seamless and fabulous. Do you know how much work goes into running an event that size with no hiccups!? THEY FUCKING SMASHED IT.

I can't possibly do the weekend justice, but some highlights for me were:
Getting to meet a bunch of fabulous readers, some of whom I've chatted with online or who I've got on my street team! I finally got to squish them and thank them for all their support and hype, and I looooved it! Meeting readers (old and new) who love my books is THE. BEST. EVER. For real.
Having the gorgeously excellent Riya Iyer as my assistant and hotel buddy. She was not only helpful and generous with her time/energy (and the event was BUSY so I was so grateful for the help!) but she was also just the most lovely human to be around. Hot tip: read her new hockey romance, Point of Release, which just came out May 21! She'll be signing next year at RITCR 2027, just sayin'...
SELLING OUT! Every last book on my table went to a new home and I couldn't be happier!
Connecting with a few lovely authors and narrators, like Lily Miller, Chelsea Curto, Daphne Elliott, and Dane Anderson! I so wish I'd been able to meet everyone! I did briefly chat with narrator Samantha Brentmoor in the bathroom, but I babbled about being damp (be cool) and didn't even introduce myself. Because of course. 😅
Realizing Teddy Hamilton was walking by as I was licking the lid of my yogurt, then feeling weird about that.
Being an awkward blinker when the impossibly handsome Wander Aguiar was trying to take my photo. Like a boss. 😌
The majesty of the Rocky Mountains. They were seriously gorgeous and almost hypnotic.
Getting to see one of my oldest friends (and meet her cutie pie daughter) in Calgary before I flew home!
It was truly an honour (with a 'u'!) to be invited to RITCR and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. My Canadian heart is so full! 🇨🇦💗
F*ck Me Sideways is LIVE!
[Free short story!: F*ck Me Sideways by Hannah Brixton]
My short story, F*CK ME SIDEWAYS, is now live as a free download, so you can read it at your leisure, babes!
The story features two exhausted millennial parents who get snowed into their car on their way to a kid-free Christmas party... And let's just say, they find a very spicy way to pass the time (and stay warm) while they wait for a tow-truck. 😏
🌨️ Grumpy/sunshine 🌨️ Marriage in tiredness 🌨️ Forced proximity 🌨️ Snowed in(to the car) 🌨️ She calls him Daddy 🥵 🌨️ Accidental exhibitionism (funny style)
Please note that this story does feature an enclosed space, so if that's a trigger topic for you, please take a pass on this one. Your mental health matters! 🧠💗

We did it AGAIN, y'all. Katie Van Brunt and I were on IG Live yappin' up a storm on May 20th. We talked about our plotting processes and whether we identify more with being a "plotter" or a "pantser"... So give it a watch if you wanna do a deep dive on all things plotting!

Thirteen years ago, Carrington Grant and Thea Ashford left Indigo Hill, South Carolina with a shared dream of a larger life that only Seattle could offer. Cary hoped to be the next big chef with his childhood sweetheart at his side, leaving his estranged family behind without a second glance.
Eight years ago, Thea moved back home to care for her sick mother, leaving Carrington alone in Seattle. It was the hardest decision she’d ever made, shattering both of their hearts in the process. Moving back to the small town she once tried to escape, Thea promised herself she’d still chase her dreams despite her circumstances.
Now, after a devastating tragedy, they’re brought back together in Indigo Hill. Upon returning, Carrington realizes everything he once knew about his hometown and the woman he never stopped loving has changed.
While grieving the loss of two people important to her, Thea must learn how to work with the man she never fell out of love with. They’re pushed together in a way neither of them could have imagined. Will they rediscover love again and finally mend their broken hearts? Will they be able to forgive each other for their previous mistakes? Or will they stay trapped in the past unable to truly move on?

Este Skylar is grounded.
Six months after surviving a plane crash, she’s terrified to fly, leaving her promising career as a pilot in ruins. Exhausted by sleepless nights, all she wants is to switch off, and a trip to her dad’s best friend’s cabin in Wintermore is the perfect excuse.
Nico Harland is haunted.
For twenty years, his grief over his sister’s death has made him hide from the world. Now, at forty-seven, he’s finally ready to try living again. But when an unexpected spring snow triggers an avalanche, he finds himself trapped with his best friend’s twenty-six-year-old daughter, the one person who understands his nightmares as intimately as her own.
They shouldn’t want each other. He’s too old for her; she’s off-limits, and he promised her dad he’d take care of her. But boundaries blur fast when the only peace they find is together, and what starts as comfort becomes impossible to resist. Trapped together, their connection deepens into something that could either heal their broken pieces or shatter them completely. Fall or Fly is a spicy, age gap, dad's best friend romance with a happy ending. It's the third book in the Wintermore series, but can be read as a standalone. Full content warnings can be found on the author's website.

Blurb:
First, he was my best friend. Then he became my everything. And then he was gone.
I met Lukas Hart the day my family moved to Copper Ridge.
By fourteen, we were inseparable. By sixteen, we were in love.
I never imagined a version of my future that didn't have him in it.
Our twenties came with new challenges, and we watched the dreams we built together slowly shift, then fracture, until Lukas’ shattered all together.
Desperate for a new purpose, Lukas joined the military. I promised to wait for him, to support him. But as the months dragged on, the calls came less and less, and the letters faded away. His words were clipped, conversations cut short. The demons he tried to outrun managed to find us at every turn. No matter how tightly I held on, I could feel him start to slip through my fingers.
How long do I keep pretending everything is fine, when I no longer recognize the man I fell in love with?
Worth the Hurt is an angsty, emotional romance about first loves, sacrifice, and the heartbreaking realization that walking away might be easier than holding on.
Worth the Hurt is the second book in the Copper Ridge series, and the first book in the Worth it All Duet. This book ends on a cliffhanger, and does not end in a happily ever after. Look for their happily ever after in Book Two - Worth the Fight - Arriving 8/17/26
F*ck Me Sideways! It's a cover reveal? My beautiful Lennox Lovelies, You may remember that I was involved in a charity anthology that came out back in November (two days after Sweet Caroline because I plan my life real good-like 🥴). Well, as of tomorrow, Mistletoe Moments will have spent its six months out in the world and will no longer be available through retailers. We've raised a good chunk of money for Food Banks Canada and I couldn't be prouder of our little (well, not so little) group...
Miles & Caroline character art!!! My gorgeous Lennox Lovelies, What do parenting and authoring have in common? It's the LIES. Stick with me here. 😆 When I had babies and then very young kids, I was always told it would get easier. At the next milestone, the next age, when this growth spurt ended or that tooth finally came in. Heck, even when the weather changed. "It gets easier," more seasoned parents would tell me. Aaaand it was horseshit. Look, it's true that the relentless, soul-crushing...
