πŸŽ‰ Proud Mary COVER REVEAL! πŸŽ‰

Proud Mary COVER REVEAL! πŸŽ‰

My lovely newsies!

This is my second-favorite newsletter to send (next to the one I'll send on pub day before immediately happy-dancing into the sunset), because it's the MOTHERFUCKING COVER REVEAL, Y'ALL!

Footage of me right now:

Cover reveal day gets me SO PUMPED. It makes the book feel real, it makes readers scream at me (lovingly), and it's just plain EASY ON THE EYES. After using a temporary cover (a few versions) for a while now, I'm beyond excited to show you the real deal! The final thing! The big hurrah?

Just... just say "hurrah" when you see it, okay? πŸ˜… Cool? Cool.

ANYWAY, HERE IT IS:

Just look at themmmmmm!! 🀩🀩🀩

May I draw your attention to Gus looking up at Mary like he worships the fucking ground she walks on? Smash.

And Mary looking like a badass who takes no shit?? SMASH.

And Lumpy tangled in Christmas lights and (one imagines) bunny-kicking my name? SMASH!

Oh, speaking of smashing things... I've put the pre-order on sale!

πŸ’₯ PRE-ORDER PRICE DROP! πŸ’₯

This pre-order is at a special discounted price, so get it while you still can, folks! (And don't worry, if you were one of the HUMAN GEMS who pre-ordered previously, you will be charged the lower price! Amazon has a pre-order price guarantee thing for that.)

Anyhoo, tell your friends, tell your dog, tell your church ladies (the cool ones, not the uptight ones), and SPREAD THE WORD!

ARC readers wanted!

I'm also looking for ARC readers! e-ARC copies will be going out in late October, so if you're keen to read early and leave a juicy review (e.g., on Goodreads, Amazon, The Storygraph, and/or Fable), I would love to have you! Details and sign-up form here:

(Note: if you're on my permanent ARC team and/or street team, you don't need to sign up since you get an ARC automatically!)

But back to that ol' cover reveal situation.

Um, swoon.

And can we take a little moment for the whole series together? Because loooook at my book babies all in a row!! 😍

I discovered through chatting with my pal Kari of @smutfully_yours that the three main colors for Proud Mary are a variation of one color from each of the previous books (the mint-ish green is similar to the bottom band of Hey Jude, the dark, teal-ish green is similar to the teal from Jesse's Girl, and the raspberry red is close to the same shade as the top band from Sweet Caroline)! This was a total happy accident (I was going for Christmas colors, honestly), but I actually love that connection. It's very fitting, since it's the last book in the series and we get to see all the main characters from the previous books one last time.

Speaking of which, I cannot wait for you to see how the series wraps up by the end! πŸ‘€ Here's a hint in emojis that'll make NO SENSE until you read it:

πŸŽ‰πŸŽ€πŸ‘•

So I'll just let you sit with that and wonder. πŸ˜‡

Anyhoo... quick admin note: As with last time with the ARC sign-up, I'll be revealing the cover for the general public on Wednesday September 2nd on my Instagram so please don't share the cover or these graphics before I've posted them then!

In the meantime, please go ahead and...

SMASH ALL THE BUTTONS
for Proud Mary!

Alright. Thank you. I'll stop abusing the word "smash" now.

Actually, I lied. One more. Here's Gus' POV from one of my favorite chapters:

She hesitates for a beat. β€œLook, I’m not gonna be a dick and kick you out of your own bed. Especially in your current state of mind. But don’t get any ideas about cuddling up; I need space to sleep.”

β€œWell, I don’t wanna cuddle with you, either.” When she gently shoves my forehead, I smirk. The truth is, I’d cuddle the fuck out of her if she wanted me to. Those soft curves against me all night?

Smash. Sleepy, sexy smash.

Books Books Books!

I've got two lovely author friends to introduce you to this week...

Laura-Elise Bishop: Expedition to Love

Blurb:

Two lone wolves.

One tent.

One night they’ll never forget.

Adventure-loving Hannah can’t wait to train as an expedition instructor. There’s only one cloud on the horizon. One of the course leaders is the mysterious man she kissed at her friend’s wedding, and he doesn’t seem pleased to see her.

Luke’s life is in the wild but, after a rare return to civilization, memories of a beautiful stranger leave him thrown and distracted. He’s never allowed his emotions to get in the way of his work, but Hannah knows just how to get under his skin.

Facing the challenges of the wilderness, Hannah and Luke confront the parts of themselves they keep hidden, bringing them closer. But returning to the real world will put them to the test. Will their fierce independence tear them apart, or will they take a leap of faith together.

Megan McSpadden: If Things Were Different

Blurb:

After meeting briefly on a flight to Scotland, widowed florist and single mom Blythe and retired rugby player Sam are shocked to discover one another at the same remote highland estate.
It would be very easy for Blythe to ignore Sam if he wasn’t so damn good with her five-year-old daughter.
It would be much easier for Sam to ignore Blythe if she wasn’t everywhere he looked.

Two people, both dealing with some pretty major life changes, just trying to figure it out. Two people who may have just found a bit of an escape in each other. Even if it’s temporary.

IT'S BLURB/TROPES DAY! [Proud Mary Blurb & Trope Reveal graphic] Hellooooo lovelies!!! It's the long-awaited moment where I can finally share the details of what Proud Mary IS ABOUT, and Y'ALL! I'm pumped! I'm so bad at secrets, but this whole marketing requires a sense of mystique sometimes... (Don't they know I'm not built for mystique!?) I've spent the last few days getting the book into shape for beta readers, and I finally got them the full draft YESTERDAY! It's a very behind-the-scenes...

Look, I'm not proud of this. I can clean up alright. I can be all fancy and put together, but is that my norm? Hellllll no. I have described myself at various points during the writing process as a disgusting troll, a gross gremlin, a lumpy potato, and a greasy goblin. Basically, I am bringing it. [Dylan Moran in Black...
