Unwinding & unplugging

Unwinding & unplugging

Dearest Lovelies,

This my last newsletter for 2025 and WHAT A DAMN YEAR it's been. I'm sure you've felt it. That existential dread has been A VIBE... a vibe we wish would die. (Unlike the vibes we wish would never die... which reminds me, go charge your vibes!)

Personally, instead of rockin' around the Christmas ree, I'm rockin' in a perpetual state of wondering "am I burnt out?" which is probably a warning sign I should pay attention to, yes? My goal for the holidays and into 2026 will be to rest and let go of some of the pressure I've felt to be PERPETUALLY ONLINE and RESPONDING TO EVERYTHING and CREATING CONTENT and CHECKING ALL THE NUMBERS... sorry for shouting, but you get what I mean? Because if I wanna keep using my brain to write cool and sexy books, I gotta, y'know, make sure it doesn't turn into a dysfunctional paste.

So here's to leaving this wretched dumpster fire of a year behind, disconnecting a bit, hugging our plants, petting our loved ones, getting fresh air, moving our meat vessels a bit (something is better than nothing!), hell, maybe even eating a vegetable. GO WILD.

Basically: take care of you. I'm gonna try to take care of me!

HAVE A BEAUTIFUL HOLIDAY SEASON!!

Kathryn Kincaid: Quite the Pair

Blurb:

She’s the feisty figure skater he can’t resist. He’s the rugged former hockey player who gets under her skin. Together, they’re quite the pair.

Isla Covington is ready for a comeback. Losing both her pairs skating partner and her marriage last year crushed her, but she’s never surrendered to a challenge. She’s determined to prove everyone wrong about her reputation as a difficult ice queen and climb her way back to the top of the podium.

Wes Davidson is a notorious grump, but he’ll sacrifice anything for the people he loves. After the devastation of his divorce five years ago, Wes prefers his single life, running his business, playing hockey with his friends, and holding his family together.

Until Isla enters his life and partners with his figure skater brother.

Now, she’s sitting across from Wes at family dinners, skating in his rink, and invading his simple life. He hates that he can’t get enough of her. Isla won’t allow her intense attraction to the unfairly hot man to distract from her goal, but Wes’s smoldering glares and quiet strength test her discipline.

It isn’t long before their bickering turns to flirty banter, affection, and an irresistible heat that burns every time they’re together. When cracks begin to form in the walls they’ve built to protect themselves, Wes and Isla face the hardest decision of their lives: to open their hearts to love or continue to run from it.

QUITE THE PAIR is a spicy figure skating romance from the Breaking Barrier series, featuring grumpy x grumpy, forced proximity, dislike to love, and he falls first and harder tropes.

Anna P.: Rebound: A Surprise Pregnancy Romance

Blurb:

Two blue lines is all it takes to reignite their love.

Fresh out of a long-term relationship, Tamara Chandy is finally in charge of her own life and happiness. Her career as an interior architect and sex room expert is booming and she’s definitely making a name for herself. While romance isn’t off the table, it’s certainly not a priority right now.

Patrick Joseph has been single for a long time and his pile of trophies and medals don’t make for good company. However, he is getting older and his days of being a professional athlete are numbered. And with the state of his mental health, he needs to make decisions about his future soon.

When their paths cross for the first time in twenty years, unresolved history sparks tension. A chance to clear the air turns into a night to get each other out of their systems.

The last thing they expect is a baby.

Patrick moves in and Tamara lays down the rules for their cohabitation. Until frustrations turn into feelings. Flirting and familiar nicknames turn into intense desire and longing. Before they know it, they’re falling back in love.

With their hearts on the line, this second chance might be their last.

Karley Brenna: Down for the Count

Blurb:

No one teaches you how to move on from the love of your life.

Beckham Bronson has always had one thing on his mind: the girl who got away. After losing someone close to him, Beckham returns to his hometown for good, only to run into the one woman he thought was gone forever. But she’s not only back in Bell Buckle—she's pregnant with another man’s baby.

Parker Summerhill never thought she’d return to the place filled with so many memories—both good and bad. But after the news she received, she had no choice. Only, she didn’t expect to see the boy she fell in love with all those years ago, and now she’s not sure she can make herself leave again.

After finding out where she’s planning to stay, Beckham gives Parker no other option but to move in with him, however temporary. But being in such close proximity to each other only brings up the past…and how history is all too keen on repeating itself.

💛💛💛💛💛

As always, here's where you can find my books.

May your book boyfriend tell you to stay in bed while he brings you your hot drink of choice. (Him. He's the hot drink. 😘)

Bonded and Enchanted! My dear Lennox Lovelies, [Green and floral BAE sign at the entrance] I had such a great time at Bonded and Enchanted last weekend here in beautiful Victoria, BC 🇨🇦! Huge thanks to the organizer, Simoriah Graham, for such an enjoyable and smoothly run event! The volunteers were awesome and plentiful, and I had SUCH a blast connecting with so many readers, authors, and fellow bookish types of all sorts! Some beautiful highlights: chatting with fantastic narrator Felicity...

Obsessed with these covers! 😆 My dear Lennox Lovelies, I've been having some fun bookish creativity over here, but it isn't writing... 👀👀👀 As most of you know, I design my own book covers. This is because I (a) fundamentally believe I can learn any skill myself like a delulu potato, and (b) have zero respect for my own time. Kidding. ... Mostly. 😆 Truth be told, I've always had a little self-taught graphic design gremlin inside me (rawr), and I've let her out to play a bit more than usual...
