First draft CHECK! ✅

Beautiful humans,

I have great news. And it's this: Thanks to a week away from social media so I could fucking focus, the first draft of Proud Mary is under my belt! Which means now it's revision time. Hooray! Here's how I feel about that:

I'm mostly joking. Mostly. 😅 I actually love revising and line editing... until I discover a plot hole or a timing issue, and then I inevitably hate myself. Then I send lengthy, panicked rants via voice memo to Katie Van Brunt, consider throwing the entire book in the ocean, and then get the fuck to work fixing it. I think the panic is integral to my process.

Anyhoo, today was Start Your Fucking Revisions Day, and I got through about four chapters (and some other organizational figuring shit out) without any massive panic, so perhaps there is hope.
